Georgia has been in compliance with the REAL ID Act since 2012, Sports said, so licenses
issued from that point on should meet the federal standards. To check if
you have a secure ID, look for a star in a gold circle in the upper
right corner of your driver's license.
A Georgia REAL ID credential is issued by the Department of Driver Services
(DDS). Overall, the DDS refers to GA REAL ID drivers license and identification
credentials as secure IDs. A DMV REAL ID looks similar to a standard
credential, but it has a star in the corner. In order to add a star to your
credentials, you will need to visit the DDS in person and submit paperwork that
proves your identity and state residency.
Under the REAL ID act, you will need to present a secure form of
identification in order to board domestic flights or enter certain federal
facilities starting in 2020. If you do not have a passport or another
federally-compliant form of identification to use, you will need to have a
secure license or ID that meets these requirements. Read the sections below to
learn everything you need to know about getting a secure card in Georgia.
Do you need to obtain a REAL ID in Georgia?
If you already have a REAL ID driver license in Georgia, you do not need to
do anything else to comply with the federal security requirements. However, if
you have a driving or identification credential from the DDS and it is not a
secure ID, you will need to obtain an enhanced card at some point in the
future. This is simply because the DDS has been in compliance with the REAL ID
card act since 2012, and as a result, the department now only issues secure
cards.
Under the REAL ID act, you will need a secure form of identification to
board domestic airline flights or gain access to certain federal facilities
starting October 2020. If you do not have a secure card by this deadline, you
must have a passport or another form of accepted identification in order to fly
or enter federal buildings that require showing an ID.
REAL ID Requirements in Georgia
You will need to present a variety of REAL ID documents in order to get a
secure ID in Georgia. For instance, your documents must establish your
identity, Social Security Number (SSN) and state residency. As such, be
prepared to show:
One identity document such as a birth certificate, passport or certificate
of naturalization.
One proof of your SSN, including your Social Security card, a paystub, a
W-2 form or a 1099 form.
Two documents that show your residential address in GA, such as a phone
bill, utility statement, rental agreement or other documents.
All required REAL ID card documents you provide to the DRR must be original
or certified copies rather than photocopies. Furthermore, your documentation
should be accurate and contain your full information. For example, a pay stub
should show your full SSN rather than just the last four digits.
If your name is currently different than the name on your identity
document, you will need to show evidence of that name change. For example, if
you changed your name after a marriage or divorce, you will need to bring your
marriage certificate or divorce decree to verify the change. The REAL ID card
requirements state that you must bring a document proving your name change even
if your current drivers license or identification card already shows your new
name.
Once you have a REAL ID in Georgia, you will not need to bring in
documentation to the DDS when performing tasks such as renewing your license in
the future. However, you will need to bring a documents that verify a name
change document if you need to update the details on your secure ID at a later
date.
When to Get a Real ID in Georgia
You may apply for a REAL ID in GA during different circumstances. As an
example, you can obtain a secure card when applying for your first driver’s
license or ID card. Remember that because the DDS currently only issues secure
IDs, you have no other option when applying for your first card.
Moreover, REAL ID cards can be issued when you renew your standard ID
credentials. If you have renewed your card in the past few years, chances are
you already have a secure ID, as the DDS has issued REAL IDs since 2012. If
this is your first time renewing in person since 2012, you will receive a
secure credential when you visit the DDS.
Furthermore, you can opt to get a new card outside of your regular renewal
period if you do not currently have as secure ID and want to get one before
your current card expires. The DDS allows you to get a secure card at any time
if you do not have one yet.
How to Apply for a REAL ID in Georgia
In order to submit a REAL ID application in Georgia, you will have to visit
the DDS in person. If you plan on getting a new ID when you renew your card,
keep in mind that you cannot get a secure card with the online renewal system.
Secure IDs cannot be issued online, through the mail or through any other
method.
Once you have your REAL ID documentation ready, you can visit the nearest
DDS customer service center. At the DDS, you will need to pay a fee for your
card, show your documents and have your photo taken. Note that the fees for a
REAL ID are the same as those for standard credentials, so you will not have to
pay more than usual to receive your card.
Requirements for Library Card in the State of
Georgia
Because a DDS REAL ID is used in the same way as a regular license or ID,
you should be prepared to take any licensing tests that may be required for the
standard credentials. For example, you may need to take a behind-the-wheel exam
or vision test depending on what services you are completing at the DDS.
A PINES Library Card is free to all Georgia residents
In order to join the library and get a card you must provide photo ID and
proof of current address
A library card is required in order to check out materials, or to access
the internet at the library.
Concern for the security of our patrons accounts prevents us from accepting
a PINES card/barcode scanned to a handheld electronic device to check out
materials and use library services requiring a card.
A free PINES library card is available to all Georgia residents who can
provide proof of current address such as a driver’s license, utility bill or
lease. Patrons of all ages may obtain a library card. A parent or legal
guardian must sign for anyone under the age of 18. A library card is required
for ALL transactions including check out of items, renewal, and to place a hold
(reserve) on an item that is either checked out of the library or is located at
another PINES member library.

FRANK P JONES 923 S A AVE ORDER OF ZEWS AVON PARK FL 33825
Dear Frank P Jones,
The following is information about your eligibility.
Food Assistance and/or Cash Assistance
This is a reminder that the last month you will get food assistance and/or cash assistance is August, 2019 unless you reapply. You or your authorized representative must reapply by the 15th day of August, 2019 to keep getting food assistance and/or cash assistance without a break. If you have completed a review or returned your interim contact form within the last 30 days, you do not need to reapply now.
You can reapply by submitting your review on our web site at www.myflorida.com/accessflorida using MY ACCESS Account. If you are a new user, you will need your case number to register for My ACCESS Account. That number is noted on the top of this form. After that you can get into your account with the user name and password you choose. Using My ACCESS Account to complete your review is easy because it displays information you already told us about. Please provide information on any changes in your household’s situation.
If you received an Interim Contact letter, you can complete that form to continue receiving food assistance and/or cash assistance, instead of doing a review on line.
If you need help completing your review online, you may visit a Department of Children and Families’ (DCF) Community Partner or a DCF Office in your area for assistance. To locate a Community Partner go to www.myflfamilies.com/community-partner-list . To locate a DCF Office, go to www.myflfamilies.com/access-service-centers .
If you are unable to complete your review online, you may call our ACCESS Florida Customer Call Center toll free at 1-866-762-2237 for assistance. We will take your review application as long as it has your name, address, and signature. If you give us more information, it will help us determine your eligibility more quickly.
Once we receive your review application, we will call or mail you an appointment letter if you need an interview. You are responsible for rescheduling any appointment you miss.
If everyone in your household is applying for or getting Supplemental Security Income (SSI), you can reapply for food assistance at the Social Security Office.
If you do not complete your review on line or complete and return your application, and give us verification by the due date, we will be unable to determine if you are still eligible, and your food assistance and/or cash assistance may stop.
Additional Information For Family-Related Medicaid Recipients: If you or someone in your household receives Medicaid as a child, pregnant women or a parent or caretaker of a child, your review may be due at a future date. At that time, we will try to do the review for you by using information from federal and state data sources. If we cannot do the review without your help, we will send you a letter telling you what you will need to do.
Starting January 1, 2016, certain food assistance recipients will have to meet work requirements to be eligible to receive food assistance benefits. These recipients are known as Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs).
An ABAWD is an able-bodied adult without a dependent who is age 18 through 49; physically and mentally able to work; not living and eating with a child under age 18; not pregnant; and not exempt from food assistance general employment program work requirements.
Beginning in January 2016, if you are identified as an ABAWD, you will be referred to participate in the SNAP Employment and Training program, operated by local workforce development areas (LWDA) also known as CareerSource. To find your local LWDA or to learn more about services offered, please visit:
http://www.floridajobs.org/onestop/onestopdir/. The purpose of the employment and training program is to help food assistance households gain skills and work experience that will lead to self-sufficiency. The LWDA will contact you about what to do next. Please be sure to follow the instructions in the notice they send to ensure continued benefits.
When you meet work requirements and work rules, you may continue to receive food assistance benefits, if otherwise eligible. Meeting work requirements means working and/or attending a LWDA work program or assigned activity of 20 hours per week (averaged to 80 hours per month).
If you are unable to work or are pregnant, report it as a change in your MyACCESS Account at: http://www.myflorida.com/accessflorida .
If you do not meet work requirements, you can only get three months of time-limited food assistance during the 36-month period from January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2018. If your case is closed, you may become eligible again if you meet work requirements, an exemption or an exception.
If you are identified as an ABAWD and fail to comply with work requirements, or do not meet an exemption or an exception, a sanction will be imposed that stops food assistance benefits. Any months of food assistance benefits received during noncompliance will be counted as time-limited months. Minimum sanction periods of one month for the first noncompliance, three months for the second noncompliance, and six months for the third and subsequent noncompliance will be applied.
For more information about ABAWD Work Requirements, please visit the Department’s website at: http://www.myflorida.com/accessflorida/ and click on Food Assistance Program-Work Rules to review Frequently Asked Questions and Answers.
